"Inclusive Curriculum for Amazing Legacies"
In commemoration of the Illinois LGBTQ-Inclusive Curriculum Law going into effect on July 1, 2020, we have created two videos to introduce the new education program. PART ONE is a video composite of several diverse and historically significant LGBTQ figures. This video highlights the work of the Legacy Project and our partner agencies (Illinois Safe Schools Alliance, Public Health Institute of Metropolitan Chicago, and Equality Illinois) to pass the LGBTQ-Inclusive Curriculum Law and Implement the Inclusive Curriculum… the unqualified realization of a dream we had so long ago to give LGBTQ youth the knowledge that people like them matter – and have always mattered. Even if no one ever bothered to tell them.
