JIM DERICO, Acting Board Vice-President | Derico & Associates, P.C.: Jim is an attorney specializing in corporate transactions, contracts and commercial law. He has served on numerous boards in the African American community, and is drawn to Legacy Project because of his personal passion for history and his desire to give back to the community. His personal drive and legal acumen will be assets to the organization. Jim is the coordinator of the Legacy Project's Leadership Circle.
RENAUDA RIDDLE, Board Treasurer | Revenue Auditor for the State of Illinois: Renauda's many years of experience in fiscal management and accounting (Center on Halsted) will help to re-invent the Legacy Project's financial tracking and projections to better manage donors and plan for growth.

As a real estate professional Kit's skillset is a welcome addition to our board as we prepare to establish a permanent physical space for the Legacy Project. Her service on East Lakeview Neighbors Association board of directors complements Legacy's close relationship with the Northalsted Business Alliance at a time when we are expanding the Legacy Walk's our role as a tourist destination.
LORI CANNON | Founder of Open Hand/Vital Bridges/Chicago: Lori’s experience in grass-roots organizational development, and her wide array of contacts and respected presence in the non-profit world and the LGBT community makes her a tremendous asset to the success of the Legacy Project.
DR. GABRIEL GOMEZ, Co-Director Legacy Project Education Initiative | Professor, Chicago State University: Gabriel's fascinating background – from founding member of ACT-Up/Chicago and Queer Nation during the 1990s – the most turbulent era in LGBT history – to full professor today – has sharpened his awareness of history and its importance for our young people. Gabriel will be indispensible helping to create the Legacy Project Education Inititative, which will bring LGBT History into the lives of LGBT youth.
PAUL HIGHFIELD | Senior Manager, Levi-Strauss Store Development: Having directly or indirectly sponsored 25% of the Legacy Walk's plaques, Paul’s knowledge of corporate- and community-based fundraising, as well as his contacts among influential individuals in the entertainment industry, make him a vital resource to the Legacy Project’s fundraising goals.
DANIEL SPIESS | Assistant Director, International Activities and Postdoctoral Affairs (Office of the Provost), University of Chicago: Daniel’s long history of work with a variety of non-profits, his meticulous capacity for planning and execution, and his many contacts within higher academia across the country make him ideally suited to help expand Legacy’s relationships with the university community nationwide.

Joshua's background in media management and event planning will be indispensible for the Legacy Project's planned efforts to replace our website, build a more robust social media presence, and expand the number, type, and scale of our special events and fundraisers.
KIM HUNT | Executive Director of Affinity Community Service: Kim’s legendary leadership with Affinity Community Services has made her a master of relationship building. She coordinates Legacy’s expanding outreach into the various constituencies and organizations which make up the LGBT community and its allies.
LEGACY PROJECT STAFF
VICTOR SALVO | Founder and Executive Director: Victor is the original of the Legacy Project. He brings 30 years' experience as both an LGBT activist and a business owner to his work overseeing the biographical research, intellectual content generation, physical engineering, fundraising, and operations management of the Legacy Walk and the Legacy Project Education Initiative. He was a 1998 inductee to Chicago's Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame.
